Cider Tour & Talk Weekend April 22nd/23rd 2022
Friday 22nd April
3pm onwards Check in.
3.30pm - 4.30pm - Enjoy complimentary afternoon tea laid out in the Drawing Room.
7pm - Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and meet Chef/Patron William O'Callaghan who will discuss the daily menu.
7.30pm - Dinner is served promptly.
Saturday 23rd April
At 1.30pm participants meet Rubert our Brand ambassador here in Longueville for a brief orientation and estate maps distributed.
Under his guidance participants will walk the orchards and gardens of Longueville experiencing first hand this educational and interesting process on site.
Later the group returns home to clean up and enjoy an informal afternoon tea with cider and apple brandy tastings. In Longueville the reward at the end of a walk is very important!

Saturday 28th May
Participants meet our Ornithologist expert in Longueville early at 4.15am for a quick coffee, brief orientation and estate maps distributed.
Participants then set off on the walk.
Later the group returns home to clean up and enjoy a hearty country house style breakfast. Afterwards a cosy chat, questions and answers session in the Drawing room or sleepyheads may return to bed for a snooze!
The Longueville dawn chorus walk is expert led by guide with interactive walks in private extensive surroundings, allowing participants benefit from the guide's time & attention.

Mushroom Hunt Weekend Sept 30th/Oct 01st 2022
Don your boots and wellies and hike around the estate in search of edible mushroom varieties home grown here on our Estate. With the guidance of our very own mushroom experts and enthusiasts Maria Cullen, Howard Fox and Jim Fraser, you can discover the pleasure of this exciting sport here at Longueville House. A rustic style picnic is laid out for participants in the courtyard post hunt. Later that evening Chef/Proprietor William O’Callaghan will prepare and cook for you a banquet of autumn mushrooms from the day’s harvest. A fun day out for all and ideal for beginners. Please note that mushroom hunts take place in all sorts of weather so are rarely cancelled due to inclement weather.

Saturday 1st October
11am - Participants meet after a leisurely breakfast in the Drawing room. A brief introduction to Guides and orientation and maps distributed of mushroom sites on the Longueville Estate.
Participants set off at their own pace, and break up into smaller groups. Non-plastic containers are recommended for collection of mushrooms. Bring wellies or hiking boots and layered clothing.
1.30pm - Groups return to the house to clean up, meet in the Courtyard to examine mushroom harvest and participate in a discussion with Q&A session while enjoying Picnic snacks washed down with mulled Longueville House Cider.
7.30pm - Later that evening, a delicious autumn four-course dinner menu, specially prepared and chosen by William O'Callaghan, incorporating seasonal mushrooms. Guests have the choice of dining individually or as part of a small group in The Chinese Room, a private dining area (social distancing guidelines observed). Please advise which option suits when making your reservation with us.
