Mushroom Hunts 2010

9th Annual Mushroom Hunt at Longueville House

Sunday 10th October & Sunday 24th October 2010
Don your boots and wellies and hike around the estate in search of edible mushrooms varieties home grown here on our Estate. (Also bring waterproof hats and over coats due to our inclement weather plus a pair of sunglasses always come in handy!).
With the guidance of our very own mushroom expert, you can discover the pleasure of this exciting sport here at Longueville House. Afterwards Chef/Proprietor William O’Callaghan along with his team will prepare and cook for you a banquet of autumn mushrooms from the day’s harvest. A fun day out for all & ideal for beginners. Please note that mushroom hunts take place in all sorts of weather so are rarely cancelled due to inclement weather. If anything they may be cancelled due to a lack of rain before the event leaving a shortage of mushrooms to hunt. Due notice will be given to participants in the event of postponement or cancellation.
