Dawn Chorus Walk & Breakfast, Sunday 14th May 2017
Take a pair of binoculars with you and some sound ornionthology experience and join our guided tour with professional bird watching guide Paul Connaughton on the magnificent grounds of Longueville House. Paul has been passionate about birds since he got his first pair of binoculars at the age of ten. He grew up in Wexford where he spent a lot of time getting acquainted with places like The Wexford Slobs, Saltee Islands, Hook Head, Lady's Island and Tacumshin lakes. Paul loves nothing more than to share his knowledge with others and encourage new bird lovers and nature enthusiasts into the amazing world of wildlife! Birds heard & some seen in past events being: Blackbird, Song Thrush, Robin, Wren, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Chifchaff, Rook, Hooded Crow, Swallow, Chafinch, Magpie, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Great Tit, Jackdaw, Raven, Dunock, Starling, Jay, Meadow Pipit, Greenfinch, Goldfinch & Bullfinch.
Mushroom Hunt & Lunch, Sunday 01st October 2017
Don your boots and hike around the magnificent grounds of Longueville in the company of two experienced Mycologists in search of edible mushroom varieties growing wild here on our Estate. Our Mushroom Hunt with Lunch at €85 Per Person Includes - Coffee & Cookies on arrival, Mushroom Hunt Expert Guides, Luncheon with Wine. Children Under 12 Years €25. Orchard & Distillery Tour & Lunch, Sunday 29th October 2017
To coincide with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain which once marked the celebration (over a week!) of the New Year; Longueville House to mark this special occasion will host a Harvest Lunch. This will take place on Sunday 29th October 2017.
With the guidance of William O'Callaghan Owner and Dan Duggan Longuevilles’ head brandy distiller and cider maker, you can discover the pleasure of this exciting process here at Longueville House where is it all made. Afterwards and weather dependent, William along with his team will prepare a special meal which includes what’s best available from our Walled Garden and Estate including a free range “Pig on Spit” and Longueville House Cider, weather permitting.
Longueville House Christmas Pop Up Shop, Thursday 16th November 2017
Gather together some Friends, Family or Work Colleagues for a Girls pre-Christmas night out. Each year Longueville House becomes a mini department store for one night only when a carefully edited selection of vendors set up shop in the hotel’s bedrooms, restaurant and public areas. The invited vendors have been selected for their quirkiness, innate style and unique quality items. There will be special offers and discounts on the night, Live Festive Music and fuelled with Mulled Cider, Bubbly and Tasty Nibbles.
