Longueville House sits in the heart of The Blackwater Valley which is steeped in the Equine tradition. Fortunately Longueville House is surrounded by several superior quality riding farms and stables for your added enjoyment

The nearest riding school to Longueville House is Eden Hill, only a five minute drive from Longueville House. It offers qualified and experienced instructors capable of tailoring a course, to advance a standard of horsemanship as well as providing lots of fun on horseback.

Eden Hill has 30 horses and ponies for student use during the summer as well as horses for breeding and racing. Stabling facilities are available also for livery horses. With 100 acres of grounds devoted to riding which include a 30 fence cross-country course, a floodlit, all-weather outdoor menage, an indoor menage and miles of country roads for leisurely hacks in the beautiful countryside of the famous Blackwater Valley. Another local riding school is Ivy Bridge Equestrian Centre located on the N20 Mallow /Cork Road. It is an easy 20 minute drive from Longueville House.

Ivy Bridge specialises in one to one training, each lesson tailored to accommodate the requirements and standards of the individual guest. Training on general horsemanship, dressage and show jumping is on offer. Trekking through country roads and lanes is available and riders from beginner to advanced level with ponies and horses to suit all standards accommodated.

Private and personal attention is provided by David Boult, a qualified trainer and FEI Steward. Transport may be arranged from Longueville House if required through Ivy Bridge. Ivy Bridge is open all year round. For more information please email davidboult@eircom.net
